Sammamish is aptly named for Lake Sammamish – which is truly breath takingly beautiful. Sammamish is known for planned communities with larger single-family home neighborhoods.

Of course, if you are looking for a home with waterfront, Sammamish is a great option. However, be prepared to up your budget. Houses on the water can be substantially higher than those more inland. But you won’t regret the view, that’s for sure.

Sammamish has limited shopping and restaurants, although you don’t have to drive incredibly far to get to larger shopping centers.

Sammamish is in between Redmond and Issaquah, and across Lake Sammamish, you will see Bellevue.

Sammamish also has some smaller bodies of water, namely Pine Lake and Beaver Lake. There are communities of houses around those lakes. There are developments of homes near the lakes, and may be considered part of the Pine Lake area, however if you are looking to purchase on the lake, expect a higher price tagged home.
